The Bowls of Wrath __________________ – Revelation 14:1-20
A. By _________________ to the winners – Revelation 14:1-5
1. Their ________ – Revelation 14:1 – Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
2. Their __________ – Revelation 14:2 -3 – And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, 3 and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
3. Their _____________ – Revelation 14:4-5 – It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.
B. By ________________ of the Angels – Revelation 14:6-13
1. The first angel – Revelation 14:6-7 – Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
2. The second angel – Revelation 14:8 – “Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”
3. The third angel – Revelation 14:9-10 – And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
C. By the _____________ of the Harvest – Revelation 14:14-20
1. The harvest unto ___________ – Revelation 14:14-15 – Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.”
2. The harvest unto _____________ – Revelation 14:18-19 – And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
The Bowls of Wrath ______________ – Revelation 15:1-16:8
A. The seven angels _________– Revelation 15:1 – Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.
B. The seven angels _________ – Revelation 15:5-6 – After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tent of witness in heaven was opened, 6 and out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests.
C. The seven angels __________ – Revelation 15:7-8 – And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever, 8 and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
D. The seven angels _________ – Revelation 16:1 – Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”
The Bowls of Wrath __________ – Revelation 16:2-21
A. The First Bowl – ___________ – Revelation 16:2 – So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.
B. The Second Bowl – ___________ – Revelation 16:3 – The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.
C. The Third Bowl – ______________ – Revelation 16:4 – The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood.
D. The Fourth Bowl – ____________ – Revelation 16:8-9 – The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
E. The Fifth Bowl – ____________ – Revelation 16:10 –11 – The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.
F. The Sixth Bowl – ______________ – Revelation 16:12 & 15- 16 – The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east…. 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 16 And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
G. The Seventh Bowl – _____________ – Revelation 16:20-21 – And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. 21 And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.
